The Making of VEX, the Western Pony

Updated: Aug 28

Presenting our latest Western horse, a rocking replica of a real pony named VEX in Arizona.

We put a great amount of time into replicating his markings perfectly, we also wanted to ensure his tack and blanket looked and felt completely authentic to a horse on a dude ranch in America.

Details are so incredibly important when making our replica rocking horses. They really do make all the difference.

We retain very specific memories of horses that have had a profound impact on our lives. Just the texture of the saddle leather, the warmth of the blanket or the feelof the reins in your hands can trigger all those amazing memories.

Take a look at the below videos of the finished horse, the comparison of photos to the rocking replica and of VEX in the Paint shop earlier this summer.

VEX has now been delivered to his very delighted owner as a surprise gift for her 10th birthday - you can see her reaction here.
